Willard Pearson (b. July 4, 1915, West Elizabeth, Pa.-d. Mar. 6, 1996), U.S. Army officer, was commissioned in the U.S. Army Reserve in 1936. William Grover Moore, Jr. (b. May 18, 1920, Waco, Tex.), U.S. Air Force officer, enlisted in the Army Air Corps as an aviation cadet and received his commission in 1941. During World War II, he commanded the 777th Bombardment Squadron, 15th Air Force, and during the Korean War, he commanded the 3rd Bombardment Group.
